2011

LA Experimental Artists Group III has openings available. The cooperative artists group meets monthly in Studio City, sharing and teaching old and new techniques, mixed-media and collage techniques. Meetings are held at a community room at First Christian Church, on the corner of Colfax at Moorpark in Studio City; parking available. Third Thursdays of each month, from 9:30am to 3:00pm (or so). Erella Teitler will be exhibiting with other JAI artists at Hebrew Union College Jewish Ritual:Rethinking, Renewed until December 31, 2011.

Andrea Raff, Diane Karpel, Erella Teitler and Toby Salkin will exhibit Sacred Places of the Heart at the Slutzky Art Gallery, at the Merage JCC of Orange County. The exhibit will run from November 20 – December 24, 2011.

Susanne Belcher has a solo show at Coif 2 Salon & Studio, 4364 Tujunga Ave., Studio City (adjacent to Aroma Cafe) thru Oct. 30, 2011.

Ben Goldman had his art juried into the International Society of Acrylic Painters (ISAP),14th. Annual Open Exhibition, July 1, to July 31, at the Santa Cruz Art League, in Santa Cruz California. This is the 8th successive year that he has had that honor.

Ben has also been selected to participate in the ISAP Paso Robles Signature Exhibition (for ISAP Signature Members), to be held in Paso Robles, CA from September 15 – October 9, 2011, at the Studios On The Park, operated by the Paso Robles Art Association.

Rachelle Mark exhibited at Onyx Salon, Sherman Oaks through May 19, 2011. Rachelle also exhibited in "Mixed Media: Trio" at the Judith Kaufman Gallery at the El Portal Theatre, North Hollywood in May 2011.

Dafna Gilboa exhibited in "Spinning Wave" at USC Hillel Art Gallery, Los Angeles, April 2011.

Susan Gesundheit and Nancy Goodman Lawrence exhibited at the Hebrew Union College exhibition entitled “...L'chi lach, on your journey I will bless you..." January - May, 2011. HUC, 3077 University Avenue, Los Angeles.

Susan Gesundheit and Nancy Goodman Lawrence exhibited at “The Rashi Effect: Artist As Commentator” through April 13, 2011, at the Platt Gallery, American Jewish University, Bel Air.

2010

Donna Geist Buch won the top award at Women Painters West Memento Mori exhibit at VIVA, November 2010. Other CAA members who won awards included Susanne Belcher and Nancy Goodman Lawrence.

Erella Teitler was accepted to JAI (Jewish Artist Initiative). She will take part of a juried exhibit at Hebrew Union College Memory and Transformation Exhibit will run through December 31, 2010. Erella took part at Brand 39 juried exhibit through October/November 2010, and she also has two pieces at Women Painters West Memento Mori exhibit at VIVA.
Belcher - Journey to Oz

CAA Members Susanne Belcher, Darlene Mellein and Connie Tunick (also co-curator of the Galleria) had work featured in Green/Vert/Verde - Environmentally Inspired - an invitational group exhibit about renewal and recycling. Presented by the Arts Council of Conejo Valley in the Galleria at Hillcrest Center for the Arts, Thousand Oaks. July 8 - Sept 20, 2010.

Susanne Belcher had two pieces accepted in the Four Faces of VIVA exhibit and won the 3rd Place Award for her piece, Reminiscence. June/July 2010.

Marks - ControlMonica Rickler Marks had three pieces at the SOMArts Cultural Center Gallery in San Francisco, in the juried show, CONTROL, August 2009. The exhibit showcased 94 works by 79 California women artists. One of Monica's pieces from the exhibit is featured in an article about the show in The Examiner.
