Chris CozenGuest artist: Chris Cozen

Chris Cozen is a Golden Paints representative, a member of our organization, and a wonderful collage artist. In her presentation, Chris will literally answer the question of “which glue to use” as she demonstrates the uses of Golden’s gels and mediums in collage.

Chris says she “works predominantly in acrylic paint for my color, but I utilize many other media for texture and interest in my compositions. Working with Golden Artist Colors’ Working Artist Program has given my great insight into the nuance of acrylic paints and mediums, the variety of surfaces that can be created and explored is endless. I am just beginning to scratch the surface of possibilities in my work.”

Chris has shown her work in Tennessee, Florida, California, and France and her pieces are in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. She currently teaches extensively in the Southern California area.

Altered SurfacesChris is the author of “Altered Surfaces: Using Acrylic Paints With Gels, Mediums, Grounds & Pastes” (2008). (Click to view this book on Amazon.com.) She will donate a copy of this book and a Golden Fluid Acrylic paint set to our raffle. In addition, she will be giving Golden products to everyone in attendance.

Visit Chris' web page for more information and a list of upcoming workshops.
